Global Partnership for Enhanced Safety, Risk Management, and Governance
Our client is a world centre of excellence in research, development and fast-track innovation. Operating in land, sea and air environments, the organisation engaged dss+ to improve its safety risk management, safety learning and development, governance and underlying safety culture.
Challenge
The company faced the challenge of reducing operational risks and building a high-performance culture. They needed to strengthen processes, optimise equipment, and upskill their workforce to create a continuous learning environment. They partnered with dss+ to guide their journey towards improvement. Our experts focused on how processes, tools, and skills could minimise risks while empowering employees, enabling them to build the capabilities necessary for sustained growth and world-class performance.
Solution
dss+ identified unique risks in each area of the client’s operations. Through data analytics, we quantified Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) risks to help leaders and staff understand the severity potential and prioritise key areas to focus on. dss+ supported the development of safety leadership skills and promoted meaningful safety conversations to improve risk awareness and practices across 21 UK sites, through tailored leadership safety training and field coaching.
“It’s a hugely rewarding experience to work with this client in their challenging, fast-paced R&D environments with high-risk profiles. Their mission-critical products undergo rigorous testing to ensure reliability in the harshest land, sea, and air conditions for their high-profile global customers, making it essential to integrate safety into every step.”
