KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. High-risk industries such as mineral mining, oil and gas exploration, chemicals, and construction have seen significant growth in recent years. This trend has created opportunities for workplace safety consultancy firms like dss+.

Srinivasan Ramabhadran, Managing Director Asia Pacific at dss+, stated that the company is currently focused on partnering with businesses in the mineral and coal mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, and food and beverage sectors.

Known as Srini, he emphasized that dss+ aims to provide its partners with three key benefits: reducing operational risks, improving efficiency, and ensuring sustainability.

"Indonesia is the world’s 16th largest economy, with many goods requiring added value for both domestic and export markets. This creates significant opportunities for companies like us," Srini explained during a media discussion on Thursday (December 12, 2024).

Srini assured that dss+ collaborates with all levels of an organization, not just its leadership, to synchronize workplace safety systems. This integrated approach ultimately enhances operational performance.

With its global expertise since 1968 and a presence in Indonesia over the past twenty years, dss+ combines international knowledge with a commitment to developing local talent. The company trains Indonesian professionals to understand and implement effective workplace safety systems within corporate operations.

dss+ has successfully established partnerships in several industry sectors, though Srini noted the challenge of convincing more companies to adopt robust safety systems.

Additionally, as technology and artificial intelligence (AI) advance, dss+ actively promotes the importance of its safety systems in minimizing risks and ensuring operational efficiency.

One example highlighted by dss+ is their involvement in mineral smelter construction projects. By analyzing potential risks and mitigating cost overruns, dss+ ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

Currently, dss+ claims partnerships with several private mining companies and state-owned enterprises (BUMN).
